New site to look at… January 19, 2008

Here is a great site for anyone to read online…Slice of Laodicea. This site has great articles and “happenings” in the churches today around the world. Most of the articles are about the “circuses” that churches are doing to “reach the lost in today’s world.” Now, I do agree that we must reach today’s world with relevance, but some churches have taken this way to far. In my opinion, it borderlines if it’s true Christianity. And, then there are some churches that’s more on marketing to get people into church rather than building relationships. Now, I don’t think anything is wrong with having some concerts, having fellowships, doing Bible studies in the homes, making fliers (or something like that) to tell people about your church and what your church has to offer,…thinking outside of the box stuff. But, I’ve been on staff of a church that once was authentic in getting people to church and then it changed to a marketing church. I guess there’s more to that. But, this site is a good site to know what’s going on in the churches today.
